About me

I have worked in communications for five years, both in agencies and in-house. I’ve been freelancing since April 2008.

I managed and maintained Balfour Beatty’s corporate website for three years, including managing its redesign in 2007.

As part of the corporate communications team, I also worked on corporate social responsibility (CSR), corporate identity, internal communications, investor relations and publications.

Combined with my prior PR experience in Edelman’s technology team, I’ve gained a good understanding of the role of an online presence within a wider communications strategy.

I am a member of the British Association of Communicators in Business (CiB) and the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA).

I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2002 with a first class honours degree in mechanical engineering. I’m currently based in Spain, from where I work very successfully with clients around the world via email, Skype and old-fashioned telephone calls!
